Six Coffee Store (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit or purchase from sixcoffeestore.com (the “Site”). We comply with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by private-sector organizations in Ontario and across Canada.

  • Order information: products purchased, order history, payment confirmation (we do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by our third-party payment processor)
  • Account information, if you create one

  • Communications you send us, such as customer service requests

3. Why We Collect It

We use personal information to:

  • process and deliver your orders within our serviced area;
  • communicate with you about your order, account, or inquiries;
  • send marketing communications, only where you’ve given consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) — you can withdraw this at any time;
  • maintain and secure the Site;
  • meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations; and
  • detect and prevent fraud.

4. Consent

We collect, use, or disclose personal information only with your consent, or as otherwise permitted or required by law. Consent may be express (e.g., ticking a marketing opt-in box) or implied by context (e.g., providing an address so we can ship your order). You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting info@sixcoffeestore.com.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

We share personal information only as needed with:

  • payment processors, to process transactions securely;
  • shipping carriers, to deliver orders;
  • hosting/IT service providers, who store data on our behalf; and
  • professional advisors, regulators, or law enforcement, where required by law.

We do not sell personal information. Where a service provider may store or process data outside of Canada, we take reasonable contractual and security measures to protect it, consistent with PIPEDA’s accountability principle.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, tax records must be kept for the period required under Canadian tax legislation). Information no longer needed is securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site for the following purposes:

Essential cookies — required for the Site to function (e.g., maintaining your shopping cart and session).

Analytics — Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to collect information about how visitors use the Site (e.g., pages visited, time on site, traffic sources). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data in an anonymized and aggregated form. The information generated is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers that may be located outside Canada. Google may use this data as described in its own Privacy Policy. Advertising — Google Ads Remarketing
We use Google Ads remarketing tags (also known as Google Ads conversion tracking) provided by Google LLC. These tags allow us to show targeted advertisements to visitors who have previously visited sixcoffeestore.com when they browse other websites in the Google Display Network, YouTube, and other Google services. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve these ads based on your past visits to our Site. You can opt out of interest-based advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.

Your choices
You can control or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site, including the shopping cart. You may also manage your advertising preferences through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada at youradchoices.ca.

We do not use these technologies to collect personal information beyond what is described above, and we do not sell data collected through cookies to third parties.

8. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual limits; and
  • request deletion of personal information no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, subject to legal retention requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.

10. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).

11. Children

The Site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental or guardian consent.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The version published on the Site reflects our current practices, with the “last updated” date shown at the top.
